Here are 5 U.S. climates that are members of the 65 + crowd (not meaning age but meaning that they have annual means above 65 F). Please rank them from your most to least favorite and also give each one a grade in the process.
Please note that each climate is in a different climate zone and I only focused on the U.S's warm climates. Please no posts about how you prefer Singapore or Italy or how you love the cold winters of Minneapolis, etc. to any of thase climates.
I listed them in order from the highest annual mean to the lowest annual mean; not my personal preference.
I will list my own preferences in order in a week but anyone is welcome to guess mine based on my other posts after they rate their own ranking and grades.
Honolulu: tropical savanna with an annual mean of 77.7 F Honolulu - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
According to Official records miami has a average yearly mean of 76.4.http://www.climatestations.com/wp-co...1/miamannt.gif and based on these records urban heat island/global warming has skewed these records at least 2-3f what they were 60 years ago and are in the suburbs today
As for the poll New Orleans is the beat for me due to it being the coolest with the most variability.
And is Woodland Hills the hottest microclimate in LA in terms of the mean temp? Or just the max?
Woodland Hills is the hottest microclimate within the city of L.A itself in terms of annual mean temperature. Those reliably hot summer days (with very low humidity) really bring the mean up despite the cool nights. Most of the coastal locations fail to make the 65 + club by a small margin. For instance, Santa Monica has an annual mean of 61.8 F.
But for the purpose of this thread, please stick to Woodlands Hills as my selected microclimate: I choose it for the reliably hot summer days with low dewpoints and mostly cool enough nights to open a window in lieu of cranking the AC.
BTW, Does anyone want to guess what my ranking and grades are for each climate based on my other postings? I will reveal my ranking and grades next Tuesday and whoever gets it right gets a digital .

90040 is LA's warmest microclimate.
warmer than Anaheim.
90040 next to downtown (same temps as downtown really) is 79.5/55.4 yields a mean of 67.45 F, so to clean it up 80 F/55 F = 68 F yearly mean, and that is the warmest microclimate in the City of Los Angeles
