I made I trip to visit a friend in eastern Estonia, Jõgeva area, which is known as the Estonian pole of cold with coldest winters of Estonia. The -43.5c from January 1940 comes from there (that is Estonian official absolute cold record) and as well the cold record of this century comes again from there- -36.7c from January 2003.
Right now the weather was too cloudy and not warm enough to be perfect but not that bad either.

I miss the "drought". Getting tired of this rain now. WTF.

It's looking & sounding so Jungleish out there with birds chirping, drips from trees, everything is deep green and wet & cloudy days on end and smelling like dirt and trees.

Tree rings must be expanding fast with all this deep root rains. Soils got washed away from 2" per hr rate this morning. 0.55" rain in 18 minutes.

I miss the Arctic part of living here.

^^

That's actually my idea of an ideal summer - cool, cloudy and wet. I detest the sun in the summer months, so day after day of clouds and rain suits me just fine. And I love how everything smells when it rains like you've been getting. If I had my way, it'd rain no less than 2 inches a week for the entire summer, with an even mix of heavy downpours and stratiform rains.

To put it short - I'm jealous!

lol.. Wanna switch? WAIT A MINUTE!.... I thought you were in Minnesota still. Forget it.

Yeah, can't complain about the clouds and rain holding temps and the sun down but not my ideal summer. It's kind of annoying to keep getting rains. And you cant wear sandals without getting your feet wet and its a cool damp wet.

June 2015.

Week 1: 1.96"
Week 2: 0.31"
Week 3: 2.17"
Week 4: 1.75"

Last 12 days (including this morning): 3.47"!
