^^ This is the reason why I'll never live in the Pacific Northwest - the summers are just too dry for me. Cooler yes, but too danged dry. I want lush, green grass all summer long, every summer.
It's very close to rainforest actually. Some classifications even say that Appalachian mountains in higher altitudes (when there is more rain) have temperate rainforests: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Temperate_rainforest
Can't even see those small palmetta or something that diffirenciated pine forests in Florida or Georgia from those in my country.
