I LIVE for overcast days. Too much sunshine depresses me; I like to hear and see and smell rain and feel damp instead of dry. My energy level goes up immediately when it starts to rain, and I fall into a kind of funk when it's "sunshiny" every day.

What exactly do you do in the US that you can't do in the UK. Please, enlighten us. Whenever you're in Florida, all you seem to do is shop, eat and then retreat back to your all-inclusive golf resort. Do you feel better about yourself spending thousands of pounds (of your parent's hard-earned cash) just to do the same crap you can do here in another country? And then you bore us all with pictures anyway so even when you're on holiday you can't spend two seconds away from the computer.

You may have been to more countries than me, but my god, you are not an experienced person at all. You are probably the most sheltered individual I have ever met!

Well its the experience of visiting another continent and seeing how they live their life. I also enjoy being able to experience 35c weather.

It also helps me as I feel by June I need a break from the local area and to get some peace and quiet. I don't have to justify my holidays to you.

I'm not sure I will be on the computer this time though as we are going to do stuff instead of shopping and sunbathing. I am excited to go the World Trade Center and see all the musuems and monuments.

Okay, enjoy yourself then. My sister went to New York in 2010 and loved every minute of it.

Lol, those places are practically English in summer. I feel sorry for the locals, although I guess they are used to it and they rake in the money from us.

They even made a TV series out of it lol. I've been on a holiday like this and this show is pretty representative of what happens over there

The British are well travelled which is why I avoid the tourist hotspots. Everytime I goto Spain I see people, I seen 20 folk literally in Orlando.

Kind of freaked me out but there you go. Its a bit annoying going on holidays and seeing people you know.

Haha! Well, maybe not 'we' then lol. It's only a short flight for us though, and of course these places are full of British.

That's very true! The Brits are all over Greece in the summer. Kind of like how New Yorkers and Chicagoans are all over Miami or Cancun during spring break
