Made it up to 76 F today, with dew points in the 50s all day. I guess since the ocean is colder now than in November/December, easterly winds don't necessarily bring warm and humid conditions this time of year.

Not necessarily. The main reason it's cooler and drier than it was then is just what you'd expect, that being a cooler and drier airmass in place. I'm honestly surprised it got up to 76F where you are seeing at it topped out at just 72F here. Here's the GFS model output for 18z (6pm) today. These are temps, winds, and pressure at 2500'

Not really looking forward to those temperatures. Our high temperature forecast is 59 today. A sunny 59. I say that's springlike enough. No need for it to be any warmer.
