In my town, many of the churches fly rainbow colored flags.

Yes, the growth of the Helsinki city rabbit population has been one carrier which spreads them. Also the milder winters we've got recently.

My parents' dog has been bitten several times, while 20 years ago it would've been a fluke to get bit. Luckily dogs can take a vaccine humans can't stand.

Just one more reason to like harsh winters. Kills off disease and pests that carry them.

A few. I've never been to one.

Not many of them to my taste, but Muse, Netsky and Foo Fighters live were amazing..
That's impressive. Any trance?

Exactly. That's one reason why my dream climate has two months with a mean temp below freezing and a third close to it just to kill off ticks, spiders, viruses, bacteria and restricts the size of snakes and other awful things.

We don't have hardly any insects anymore. The cold summers have kilt them off.

It used to be that you'd see hundreds of butterflies and wasps. I have only seen one of each this summer and no flies.

Lol, I thought you were just staying in New York City & Washington DC or something like that. Is that not so? Ticks would be the least of my concerns in those two cities.

No wasps here, but there are tons of butterflies and bees. I was in my garden earlier and this one particular tree was completely swarmed by bees pollinating. One landed on my arm.
