I don't know. Maybe it's the mentality I despise. Feeling the need for something when they really don't. I'm just against excessive consumption, coffee being one example.

That's common for people who have developed a dependency on coffee, or other caffeine-based beverages. Or any drug at all actually.
The fact that you get those symptoms after not drinking coffee is concerning - but not for the reasons you think. I felt similar after I stopped drinking pop/soda.
Ordered a large, thin crust pizza (Garden Fresh) from Papa John's, I had 4 slices (840 calories) and I'm still hungry as hell. I did do a long power walk earlier (about 2 hours) that burned 800 calories and I had eaten 1290 calories to this point. So maybe it's safe to eat more, IDK.
