I averaged their summer and winter months together and Philadelphia is still closer to NYC than DC, although they're all quite close to each other climatologically (and geographically) speaking.

Why are you using the warmest station in NYC area? Why not JFK which Philly airport is warmer than by 1.5F. Why not Central Park, which Philly is warmer than NY by .9F. Or even right in the Bronx at that NOAA station. There we are warmer 55.8 vs 55.1F.
You picked the warmest station in NYC and compared it to our airport. How bout we compare your warmest, LaGuardia, to our warmest the Franklin Institute in about as much as the UHI as your warmest station is. And the UHI of NYC is leaps more impressive than ours.

July averages 88/70.2F vs 85.3/69.5 and that high temps makes a huge difference.
Jan averages 40.4/27.4F vs 39.3/26.6F. Not a great as difference, but still even the low and high are warmer here as all of us that have been to NYC in winter or summer can attest. NYC is not as warm as Philly in any month. And you can feel it when you go there.
NYC has never really felt all that impressively warm to me. DC on the other hand is far warmer than NYC winter and summer, and is noticeably warmer than Philly. Baltimore on the other hand feels much like Philly and I've been there multiple times in any season. It is barely 1.5 hours south on I-95.
Oh and here are the difference in the means in the three locations using their warmest NOAA stations:
LaGuardia 55.4F(not the 55.7 you claim).
Franklin Institute 57.0F
DC 58.1F.
So, Philly is actually closer to DC in temps than it is to NYC.

DC is just slightly more similar to Atlanta than NYC in the Summer. Also I was surprised to find that Baltimore was slightly hotter than both DC and Atlanta in the summer.
Lol philadelphia overall is more like dc than nyc. It is a lot like baltimore, they have the same average high, 87, and both get close amounts of average annual snow totals (baltimore: 20.2 inches, philly was like 22 inches)

Well, can you show me proof of these websites? Your websites are could be outdated, while my websites always update to current results. Based off of my websites, baltimore and philly are closest, dc is in the middle of dc and nyc. I hope you did it by accident, I hope you arent another southern biased supporter of DC and MD
