FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUG, I forgot that HJK had the first League Cup match today. It was cancelled from yesterday as the winds were so heavy that IFK Mariehamn from the Åland Islands couldn't arrive on the mainland as the cruise ships were ordered to stay in port.
The match was postponed until today, but somehow I completely forgot the whole thing. Well, we won 1-0 with a penalty from left back Taye Taiwo, best known from Marseille and Crystal Palace. Our new Finnish-Albanian defender Lum Rexhepi got a red card.
Next Friday is a real thriller, HJK vs our arch enemy FC Lahti! I'm going to watch the game and then off to my parents. Friday night, football, beer and FC Lahti. A winning combination!
