I've seen someone get arrested for peeing in public here, though if you did it behind a tree in a park I'm sure nobody would care.. I have also started to use my backpack or bring bags with me to shops more which is a good thing, before I just wouldn't think to do that. That's about the only useful thing this damned government has done
Being arrested seems a bit excessive. Our "pay for your stupidity tax/fine" is €40 and then you're on your way.

You're correct, but on the same hand it gives a free hand to the governments to invent whatever idiotic taxes. That's a bit dangerous.

edit: I wrote a long well-thought post yesterday on the urban planning forum why the US has so much urban blight vs Europe, and nobody cared to comment on anything. They just go on yapping about slavery.
edit2: The FMI is opening a new weather station......... on Mars. Take that Owen, soon there will be plenty of snow on the hills. Like Olympus Mons.
It isn't a sugar tax anyway - it's a fizzy drink tax. Even tonic will be taxed. You can still pop into McDonald's and eat a McFlurry without incurring any extra charge.
It's all very stupid, and Jamie Oliver is a pr*ck. He took away turkey twizzlers from British schools.
Anyway, the British Conservatives are an absolute mess - they're all over the place and have no idea what they are doing. I doubt it will actually be implemented and if it is, it won't last long.
Yeah, that soft drink tax is ****ing stupid. Can't parents tell their kids that it's not good to drink soft drink constantly? Or do we have to be babied into not buying it? Can't believe that **** has had so much influence on this. Fair point about the healthy school lunches but there's a line and he's crossed it.

I am f***ing fed up of getting positive anomalies in winter/Autumn yet when it's Spring/Summer we start getting below average sh*te
This March has been an epic fail, just a continuation of winter with cold crap At least quite a few days have had wall to wall sunshine, but the temperatures have just been pathetic, and the outlook is for stratocrapulus accompanied by cold 10C temperatures and even lower on some days for the near future. Usually March has some days that reach into the upper teens or even 20C+ in some years for the first pleasant weather of the year, obviously not this time around
All an "initiative" of the labor left (who jgtheone so enthusiastically votes for ) as they waste money on crap and need to recupirate it somehow while ramming the old "road safety" propaganda down our throats. They even forecast the expected revenue while peddling the saving lives claptrap. Yeah it's about saving lives alright
It's crazy how many people still believe that crap.
