*think is the important word here. Clearly university still hasn't matured your mind yet. The average student absolutely does not have a £100/week spending budget. Where the hell do you think that money is coming from? The lowest student loan (which I get) is £3300/year, that all gets eaten up by rent, so I have to survive off of my own money/get help from my parents. Even the highest student loan (about £5200?) leaves you with less than £1000 after rent. And Norwich is a cheap place for house rent compared to the rest of the UK.
I don't know, you wouldn't go and see your friends and just sit there doing nothing. At university it is very normal to drink socially and go out to bars/clubs/parties etc. What else is there to do otherwise? Sports and other activities obviously, but they are more hobbies and don't take up much time, especially on weekend evenings

Well that's what I do now, isn't it? I guess if you can't drink you find other activities (watching sports, video games, playing sports) Do those not sound interesting to you? If you can't enjoy your friends without alcohol, are they your friends?
Eh? I didn't say that. When you meet friends you aren't just gonna sit in a quiet room and talk. You are obviously gonna do an activity, and drinking is one of those that lots of people choose

Lol I've never said I see my friends without alcohol! It's just one of the activities to do with them
He lives in a suite with huge space, his own kitchen and nobody else living there..
Huge waste of money if you ask me, and how boring living secluded away from everyone else
I stayed in a dorm/w/bunkbed for a month this summer and it was fine as well as fairly cheap.
