I've had a job for 6 years and never had to stand all day.

Sales is one the worst (or perhaps the worst) jobs out there. It's worse than retail or even fast food.

Erm most students don't go for trips to NYC & stay in fancy hotels, they go backpacking & stay in hostels etc.. Or go on working holidays

Lol welcome to real life Owen. No more vacationing on Daddy's dime. If you want a vacation on the cheap, you go to Europe. If I want a cheap vacation, I go to California or Florida, or Mexico. That's how it works. Trans-Atlantic and cheap does not exist on either side of the ocean

It always annoys me when people say that! I live on £400 a month and I can afford all of this yet people who have jobs apparently can't.

I don't even have a job, most students who are working make more than me so how couldn't they save up more than me?

You know why! They spend their money on drinking!!!

It's my money and I can do whatever I want with it. I spent £4,000 last year on my holiday, could've bought a car or a louis vuitton but I didn't because I love travelling so much.

Oh here we go derpoid alert

£400/month? How about you remember that you are not working (therefore have the time) are paying NO taxes, no bills, transport to work etc.

£400/month is ridiculous for a student, is that from your parents? I get no money from my parents, but before I worked in 1st year I used to get £200/month. Your average student isn't spoon fed like you from mummy and daddy with extortionate amounts of money

Tbh I don't agree. I see lots of rich students in the university. Remember the likes of Cambridge is close by which is a rich area.

I would say my budget is average.
