First clouds from bonnie came in around noon, they were small and puffy, now things are really clouding up, sun just got blocked out and it feels a lot cooler. Let's go bonnie!
I don't expect temps to drop off so it's gonna be a Mid July type evening in the 80s. Waiting for that backdoor cold front I haven't even looked for it yet

96f in Newark is insane. That's just crazy for May
Seems like they always get crazy heat waves there though. Even at PHL it was only 91, and 88 here in the SE PA suburbs. I remember back in August 2006 it hit like 105 or 106 there in Newark

That raises a good point - are precipitation distributions alone enough to make a climate different?
The effect on vegetation is massive. Cross the mountains north of Genoa and in 50 km the landscape changes completely. In this particular case, temperatures are pretty different too. Went to Turin last April, there were snow piles everywhere between Cuneo and Turin, something that rarely happens here in the middle of winter.
