Bastardi is calling it "endless summer" and expects a well above normal pattern to continue for much of CONUS/Canada through August and into September

Here is what the first two weeks of August looks like according to the models

Texas and the Mississippi Valley might see some cool anomalies if systems head into the Gulf and then onshore and rain....

Cambium, I don't think you get it. You really think a "breeze" will do anything when it's 93 F with a 75 F dew point with an 82 degree sun angle like it is right now? Hell no. Breeze doesn't feel "cooling" or refreshing, it just feels like hot air being blown around. Not to mention the "breeze" only affects coastal areas or maybe a mile or two inland. I live ten miles inland. I don't get a "breeze" here.

It's always out of state people or people who moved here from another state that go on and on about the "breeze" here.

I dont think you get it.

Are you saying its better without a breeze???? Come on.

And who said it feels "cooling or refreshing"????? Come on.

I been to Florida with 90 and humid so I can say for myself it does feel different and better then here. Miserable of course but you can tell the difference. Leaves actually move down there.

That's pretty close to Fort Lauderdale. If I were you, I'd change my location to either Broward County or Fort Lauderdale. You seem to be somewhat distanced from Miami proper.

Seriously? You really think soil type will make a difference with how air temperature feels? Come on. That is just silly. Sandy soil helps with radiational cooling, but radiational cooling doesn't exist when your dews hang around the mid and upper 70s at night, with likely a lot of cloud cover.

And no, it really doesn't feel any better. Like I said just moving hot air around. You really think you know better than the person who's lived here for 75% of their life? How often do you even experience temps like I'm getting today anyways?

Every time I go up north, it feels a lot better than down here, even with similar temps (less harsh sunlight, lower dew points unless it's a very humid heatwave, not to mention better night time temps, even low 70s is a lot better than upper 70s). Not to mention you cool off nicely in September while we're still getting summertime temps. I honestly don't get all the whining from you, your summers aren't even that hot and muggy.

True, the years before that I was moving around the Miami area and I lived in Miami Gardens for a while, so I never really got around to switching the location.

I don't understand how people can ignore this. Even with identical conditions, in the sun Florida usually feels at least 5F hotter to me vs Kentucky. There's no comparison.
