Even subzero lows and highs in the single digits can't guarantee a snowstorm around here.

Nice. Thanks for the report! Keep us posted on what the total is before the changeover and when the change happens!

It's crazy. This is what screwed us. The storm track. Needs to be off the coast for us.

300 miles East of that track and this would of been a huge snowstorm from Virginia to Boston! Talking like feet of snow again. It was that close! 300 miles is really not a lot when talking about a storm track. Ugh.

Temps are in the single digits & teens & 20s with snow right now, and going to be rain and 50s in 24hrs. CRAZY!

I see reports of 6-8" of snow in Virginia

Is it supposed to? Highs in the 90s can't guarantee a thunderstorm here.

It's been blowing somewhat but I'd guess that's about what we got here based on what's in a somewhat protected area. It's stopped (for now) and maybe done for the day. I sure hope so.

That'll get some comments going. Lol. Really apples to oranges though.

Thunderstorms are formed from an ingredient needed not because its cold or hot.

In this case we have the frigid cold, we have the precip moving in, but yet its not going to be a full snowstorm. Rain is coming only because warm air is moving in during the storm.

Its pretty crazy how cold we are and talking about rain. Ugh.

Meanwhile, I was forecast to have rain likely tomorrow but now it's been changed to all snow. And that's with a high of 36F.

That's interesting. Cold air coming in faster? I don't think its the same storm though? Wonder where the snow is coming from. Or maybe it is and just the wrap around moisture?

Check out the line of thunderstorms LA and MS right now.
