Most our silver birches are taller than the one in your picture

How about girth? I've often been told that thickness is more important than length.

Most ones are about an armful's girth unless they're younger. A few older ones are more than an armful.
Edit: Actually, most wild silver birches that are 1.5-2x Villa height are only like 3dm in diameter. They seem to grow to about idk 20m high rather quickly and then they slowly start to bulk up on the girth front.

There's a big difference in tree size both girth and height between the US Northeast and US West Coast, I wonder why
