Tesco's alright but it isn't much cheaper than Sainsbury's. I've noticed some Tesco products are actually pricer.

Asda is pretty rank. Going into Asda gives me a taste of what Wal-Mart is probably like.

If you want to save money I'd go to Aldi. I think they're nicer than Lidl.

Well, I have upped my budget for this year because I don't drink.. thinking I would get this big massive shopping... woe be tide.

Yes, 6 dollars per pound here.. I have seen 10 dollars per pound.

I guess it depends what you buy, if you buy the "value" or "no frills" stuff then you can get save loads of money. I remember when I was younger & you could get a tin of baked beans for 2p

Owen is probably shopping at Waitrose or M&S though & buying Aberdeen Angus Steak Mince lol

I'm just buying for myself for the next few weeks - easy to live on 2-3 hours wages for a week.

Well, I tried freezing the mince and stock pilling it and that didn't work either. Took it out of the freezer and it turned brown pretty quickly.

March is still colder than British winters, but believe me, it feels like tropical haven once the first 10C sunny day arrives

Frozen chicken over here is 7.50 $/kilogram. Very worthwhile
