I just find it a poor way to go on a first date IMO, because you're really trying to get to know the person you're with and you can't talk or anything lol. Would much rather go for a walk in the park or something like that or a place to get some drinks lol.

Yeah it's not ideal for a first date, but my dating days are long over, thankfully, I didn't think people did "dates" anymore anyway, isn't it all just hookups on Tinder/Grindr
Tbh, I am somewhat tired of just random hookups and whatnot. Not saying I wanna settle down just yet, but it'd be nice to run across my "soulmate" I suppose but of course take things slow and not rush....

You are still young, plenty of time to settle down... And when you have settled down you will often wish you were still single, so make the most of it
Random hookups can be fun, but I dont think they are as fulfilling as an actual relationship. But then, if you're a young guy, I feel like having a low (or nonexistent) number is a huge hit on your confidence, and it's hard to fully appreciate a relationship since you want to know what else is out there. Sort of like forbidden fruits. My number increased a lot the past year so now Im a lot happier, and am ready for a fulfilling relationship

It's ok for a first date if you go to to a movie with not many people and sit at the back. You can do things other than talk.
