I take no offense. Always hard to tell when you're native, but I don't think French sounds particularly nice. Famous rocker (in France) Johnny Hallyday said it's a poor language to sing a rock song in.

Yeah Italian is very melodic, much more so than Spanish, but for some reason I am partial to the latter. Must be because I listen to a lot of salsa, bachata and merengue.

German can sound really nice when spoken by certain persons but the same can be said of any language.



Btw did you enjoy your trip? Things that you liked or that put you off?

I'm also not too fond of the way French sounds, although that probably puts me in the minority.

I don't have a strong opinion either way. Not terribly interested in France or French things in general.

France does interest me, partly because I have family there. But I've always seen the language as overrated.
