Not to mention they don't know how to use apostrophes.
lol, they can't use the excuse of having limited characters with that one.
Here's the CoCoRaHS snowfall reports. the airports don't report through them but I labeled them on the map for reference to where they are give or take. Nice 5-7" snowfall in the burbs. Surprised the airport got 6.4" actually.

If this happened I think I would explode. How the **** is this even possible
Hate when the legend is cut off, what do the color represent? But at least you got a shot of the parameter. lol
Just how it goes sometimes. IMO, I'm not one of those that can give a simple answer why. I always feel like the puzzle is so big that there's more than one reason for things. Sometimes I'll make an educated guess but its hard to when you're talking about a pattern.
Are the waters even above normal in the Gulf/Caribbean to use that as a factor?
Whats happening in the middle of the Atlantic is as important as whats happening in the ........... wait a second.... I think I know a main culprit...
Pattern has become active since Thanksgiving and one feature that we are seeing is a Sub Tropical Jet (from Pacific).. I bet you that is preventing the Polar Air masses from digging too far down.
It's giving us the wet pattern but ruining the cool breaks for Florida. I don't know. That's my thought

Sorry lol. Here...
Wouldn't this be like -15F in Chicago? I don't think I've ever seen a map this cold for those areas, especially when it would still be 80F here.

You have MDW where the "Loop" (downtown) should be... ORD is 12 miles west of the lake, and MDW is 9 miles away...
ORD got about an 1" more than ORD. Downtown got about 2-3" less than the airports. Suburbs (mainly west) got 2-3" more than the airports... The airports are about 15 miles apart from each other...
Damn. Maybe a Christmas-New Years thaw is going to happen. PV looks to restructure itself over the Arctic. Maybe a pullback of cold temps??
