Maybe a slippery commute tomorrow morning:

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTHERN NEW JERSEY...EAST
CENTRAL PENNSYLVANIA AND NORTHEAST PENNSYLVANIA.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.

A PERIOD OF LIGHT SNOW LATE TONIGHT INTO EARLY MONDAY MORNING MAY
RESULT IN A COUPLE OF INCHES OF ACCUMULATION AND CAUSE SLIPPERY
TRAVEL ON UNTREATED SURFACES, ESPECIALLY NEAR AND NORTH OF
INTERSTATE 80 IN NORTHEASTERN PENNSYLVANIA AND FAR NORTHWESTERN
NEW JERSEY.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY.

THE LIGHT SNOW IS EXPECTED TO TAPER OFF BY MID MORNING ON MONDAY.

PRECIPITATION ON TUESDAY AND TUESDAY NIGHT WILL MAINLY BE RAIN
ACROSS MOST OF THE AREA. HOWEVER, THERE IS A CHANCE OF A WINTER
MIX FOR SOME AREAS, ESPECIALLY ACROSS THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS WHERE
FREEZING RAIN IN THE COLDEST SPOTS IN THE SOUTHERN POCONOS AND
FAR NORTHWESTERN NEW JERSEY MAY OCCUR.

GFS is going nuts, this solution is not even possible. How on earth can the coldest, and only spot in the entire lower 48 to be sub zero possibly ever be south central Georgia? that would shatter all time record lows. On top of that zero snowpack so that cant possibly be the reason.

This hour shows Wilmington at 34 while just 40 miles inland at 2 degrees .

Arctic air has arrived in earnest in Edmonton. Currently -6C (22F) with wind NW 40 gusts 57 kmh. Expecting to drop to -18C (0F) tonight--likely the warmest temperature of the week.

Also snowing now, first real snow since October.

We can get those temps even with a minor shot of cool air. Does Ryan Maue really believe that a high of 70 F is an "arctic blast" here?

I don't know if he was being sarcastic or just showing that the Arctic air will travel far south...

Got a decent dumping of snow today

Temp is 34° outside right now at 7:30pm. Got my timelapse camera setup so I don't miss any flakes overnight.

Last 4 hr loop. What a nice 4-8" snowstorm in Iowa and Illinois today. There were a few spots with 7-10"
