HiRes NAM 00z says its snows for 10-12 hrs here. (Sunday 9pm- Monday 9am)

Probably virga at start then mostly light stuff but with couple moments of heavier bursts. Should be interesting to see what happens.

This shouldnt be a road issue or more than 2" event! But they should salt overnight Sunday so no icy patches around for morning commute.

Is it just me, or does the upcoming snowstorm resemble the bottom-right image quite a bit?

Hope that happens. The rain would be over Lake Erie and the snow surrounding it looks like it will keep the snow south and west giving us pretty much all snow. Really hope that happens.

Even though the radar this morning looks juicy, this should be a light event for us. I'm thinking 1-2" for you as NWS forecast shows below. (less in downtown/city of course)

A look at the radar, Infrared, and metars.

Snowing in Iowa this morning entering Illinois right now!
Thunderstorms in Texas and heavy rains in Louisiana.

That moisture in the south is our moisture here tonight. Temp 31F here right now.

Can you identify which is the Sub tropical Jet stream and which is the Polar Jet? This is the GFS forecast next 14 days.

The tighter the lines the more confident and accurate it is. Watch what happens after 7 days. lol

Remember, when the 2 Jets meet, that's when you get powerhouse snowstorms.

Now you probably have an idea how amazing timing is when they happen as things are always flowing, looping, and waving across the globe!

A snapshot of the upper-level jet stream | Chicago Weather Center: Skilling's Forecast and Chicago Severe Weather Alerts

I'm sure some Northeasterners like Cambium would love this to verify

Since Friday evening, I have received 4.36 inches of rain. The airport has received 4.58 inches.

More to come today and tomorrow, but shouldn't be as much.

The diurnal range has been quite low. It has remained within 48-50F since 2 AM Saturday (the past 32 hours).

Looks like some much needed rain the Tennessee following those wildfires. I didn't realize how bad the drought was in the South.

Edit: This map doesn't show Tennessee, but obviously the red just doesn't stop at the Georgia and Alabama border. Drought conditions extend into Mississippi and Louisiana.
