I'm forecast at 18, first time to drop below 20 in December in 6 years... we will be in 60s Saturday and over 70 Sunday though so it's fine. Temps dropping here, we got to 41.
70's? See, this is why I prefer the south. We'll be lucky if we reach the 60's on Sunday, there's still a lot of disagreement on that. Either way the temp will plummet again by Monday, although it won't be as cold as today/tomorrow.
It's really accumulating. I can't believe this, looks like a legit snowstorm.
Welcome to near Lake living? Imagine how it is with this intensity for hours on end and multiple days a week near the Lakes. Shouldn't last long but these squalls can drop a quick 1-2".
Look at Islip's Wind Chill Value. 7°F with snow falling.

Yeah, nws says we won't break 45 Saturday while virtually every other outlet says lows 60s. It's close. I'm tired of being below average, Christmas looks promising and possibly 70s as of now.

I actually like the surprise factor, and the quickness of it all. But I couldn't imagine that squall lasting hours and days, it'd be way too much lol.
The windchill is vicious, I found that out this morning as I'm not dressed appropriately lol. On top of that my new hat ripped somehow, and I already misplaced my gloves.

Being below average in December isnt bad, thats when you actually do want cold weather. Sort of like how you enter the gym and feel the pump and immediately stack two plates on the bar, much easier to handle all those plates at the start of the workout as opposed to when youre 2 hours in, and the cold is like those plates

I'm expecting a 25 degree warm-up from Friday to Saturday. Low 50s Friday afternoon, mid 70s on Saturday.

I suppose, NYC and the mid Atlantic are running a I've average for december. Below average by 1 degree here. If the models are right we might also finish above average. Average for this date is 53/33.

If you come close to the 60s in winter, your climate's probably not as cold as you make it out to be. Juuust saying.
Btw I find it find funny how your Sunday is 58/23 and mine is 32/18 lol. Its like we switched places.
