Wow, yeah, thats chilly. I havent followed temps across US much lately. I knew would change in East though but didnt know 40s for Florida.
Daytona now has a 42 F forecast low with an 80 percent chance of rain. Could sleet end up mixing in if it trends colder? Daytona's current dewpoint is below 32 F.

For me chilly is something between 30 and 40.
Considering you live in a lowland equitorial climate, when do you even experience temps below say 55°F/12.8°C? (Serious question, not attacking or being hostile)

I had to check.. This is GFS for 4am when there's light precip north of there..
Red line = Temp
Green = Dews
Anytime they touch = precip/clouds
Anytime they are separated a lot = dry air
Looks like theres a lot of dry air at the surface here. (I think I saw there was a High pressure around)
If surface trends colder even into the 30s, sleet wouldn't be possible because it's 6C up to 3000 feet.
There needs to be a thick below freezing layer above the surface. You have to go to 8000' to get freezing mark over Daytona
Pretty decent cold coming by the end of the first week of February
