The two things I love the most about weather and I don't want to miss one of them. But I would give the edge to snow because I can do more with snow in contrast to thunderstroms which I can only observe.
Ditto. I love both equally.. I don't know if I can choose.
You can do more with snow, but I don't play in snow so it's not really relevant to me.
I have childhood memories of both. Few things used to excite me more than waking up on a morning to see a fresh blanket of snow. But at the same time, I remember pushing up the living room chair to the window and watching thunderstorms.
Thunderstorm means a light show and a good nights sleep. Snow means I have to wake up at the crack of dawn to shovel snow. And then again when the plow shoves more snow on my driveway.

Don't have to shovel rain, huh? Or sun?
The way people talk about having to shovel snow you'd think any amount of physical exertion will kill them.
Yes; those are amazing! We get them here in Co Springs, CO but I don't know about other locations.
We had one last October (2015); my windows rattled from the thunder as the snow fell; very cool.
