All I know is that this summer will be nothing like that of 2012 for Illinois

What was your avg high/low that July? Our high and low that July was 91/73F. Way too dry of a month though.

Jeez, I didn't realize Illinois could get that hot. Chicago looks more reasonable; still lots of 100s. I remember summer 2012 being hot, but that 5 week period in 2013 felt worse with the humidity. I was in Chicago from July 10-15 that year. I remember it being hot, but most days not oppressively so. The first couple days were nice. Think we had good timing.

My average that month was 86°F/61°F. Dryish, 2.45" of rain less than the usual 4". Only two days broke 90°F so it wasn't that bad. July 2013 was 85°F/66°F, 0.3°F shy of the hottest month on record.

Tom trying to stir things up again? I see why...

Philly this month only 6 days above normal. lolol. Coldest average since 2008.

If it wasn't for those 3 days alone I wonder what May would of ended up. Maybe Top 20 coldest? Coldest since 1950s? 3 days ruined reality of the month.

More of the same continues next 7-10 days per models, especially north of Philly.. Then could see a change mid June.

Those 3 days were part of the reality of the month, they didn't "ruin it". Had it been the other way around we wouldn't hear a peep out of you.

Another look at Philly. Lots of blues below normal days. Something Tom would never mention. The monthly average departure will not reflect what truely happened.

Looks like very unstable there. One day in 80s and 90s next days struggling past 60s end of May? Lows in the 40s and 70s? Wow.

Max temps 21 days below normal. 8 above normal.

Well, you could go through the numbers to find out if you cared to. But those really hot days count for the average, it was a lot of warmth at once.

I am curious, for other sites as well.. Of course it counts, its part of the month, but 3 of 31 days is comical and you wont know it when looking at the average that those 3 days alone drove up the average and departure hard. At least they'll end up with a minus for the month unlike Bridgeport who will end up with a +

I think he has us on ignore lololol.

I agree though, those days were part of the month. He just (like always) is trying to make things seem colder than they really are.
