6:50pm. Impressive its holding its own even with sundown. Syracuse just got hit. 55-66mph wind gust just north of there. Warnings continue to get issued but there's no lightning. That line is just carrying downpours and high winds.

Pittsburgh about to feel the change in airmass. Still 71° here at 7pm

You're gonna win. Wow you're in the 80s at 7pm? Looks like you need the front to pass well south and east of you before feeling the effects, whereas I just need it to cross over. Interesting

6:15 here right now (I'm an hour behind you.) A few isolated showers and the wind is picking up a bit.

I think the front came right after I posted this lol. Somewhat strong wind gusts and leaves blowing out of trees. There were a few raindrops. Down to 77F at the airport.

Currently here, at Aurora, ME...63F, Dew Point 60F, Winds 12MPH from the South
We have a Wind Advisory for gust up to 40-50mph - Our low will be around 55F....

All our Winter Weatherizing plans went with the wind today - off across the Birch Meadows....Slept with the airconditioner running last night (yes, we still haven't taken it out and it's now mid-October)! Longing for the crisp, cool days and the swooshing sound of leaves under our feet as we go for our weekend walks...
Just when we think the leaves are in, peak color, we are once again awed by their beauty, on our drive down Route 9....Gathered and dried a Quart-sizeed, Zip lock baggie of seeds from our Anchient Rock Maples and will be freezing them until it's time to plant....
Looking forward to returning to 40hrs (instead of the 50hrs), a week....It seems as endless as the Summer of 2017, that never quite left and leaves one restless in their sleep and suffering during the day in our bakery....

front is bringing a strong line over the Adirondacks. I wonder if it'll weaken after passing through them?

Front came through just before 5 PM here. Some impacts:

•Dropped the temp from 80 to 68 in around 15 minutes
•Wind gust of 62 mph--highest since March
•Numerous downed branches, small trees and my basketball hoop
•0.22" of rain in 6 minutes

The high was 80, the 4th and probably last 80 degree day this month. The dew also got as high as 68, maybe a record?
