High in my backyard today was a balmy 39 degrees, which is WAY below average. Its the average in mid December! The low was not very impressive though, only 33 degrees. Pittsburgh NWS had a high of 42, and a low of 37 due to the UHI.
I'll be out in Philadelphia this week for work, will be nice to feel some warmth.
Incredible outside... True storm haven't had one in a long time.. Constant rain all day but got harder after 7pm..
10pm.. 3.55" storm total and a bug. Heavy rain and winds outside.. Almost 1" last hour alone. Ground completely soft and saturated. Minor flooding around. Chairs tipped over. Small branches down
Center of storm now along the NJ coast. Dry slot coming into NYC. Tons of rain on the map. Now this is a widespread rainstorm! Wind gusts shown here.
10:15pm Map. 60s in Northeast while 30s in Georgia. It's 30s down there already at 10pm???
62° in Albany is 18 above normal for the hour while the 37° in Atlanta is 20 below normal. Just the way the Jet stream is tilted right now and the coastal storm is pushing warm air into New England
850mb's are 13C off the coast with wind mixing down to surface.
Ok why not... Map with 850mb temps on.. See the warmth the coastal storm is bringing
-3C and snowing here. Looks like it's gonna be around -13C for a few days next week with a strong wind.
Kinda wish I was there but then again, standing outside in short sleeves watching the power of this is pretty awesome too.

I was saying the same thing. I wanna video tape but whats the point, just to hear it?
Getting loud out here with 35mph wind gusts and wet greenish leaves.. The 4" of rain just made things worse. Should be a lot of debris around tomorrow. I'm hearing branches snapping in the distant. Lights flickering. Rain stopped

66F here with roughly 2 and a half inches of rain. It’s also REALLY windy.
The storm is strengthening right over us. Center is over NYC now. We're on the worst side of things (right side)
This will update every 15-30 min I think. Last update showing Sub 984mb in center. Probably 970s now as you said. I got 981mb here.
