Snow total forecast next 36hrs. Long Island will get more than Hartford and with a clipper. That's because the clipper will reorganize off the coast. Temps in the teens on Long Island right now so the snow will be like powder.

Snow falling into air temp of -10C and colder under the pink area. It's -13°C over Philly right now and snowing lightly. Surface temp of 19°

Usually we see snow falling while 850mb is -1 to -7C

This is what you call instant sticking. Even with just flurries back roads getting covered. This stuff is so powdery! Temp of 12°F!

And who needs a plow when the wind from cars is blowing away the snow.

-13 this morning. Coldest temp I've felt so far! Its definitely cold, not the kind of weather you can take pictures on your phone in for long. But besides my nostrils stiffening, its not too bad. Now that I'm finally experiencing below zero weather I can say with certainty, I prefer this over triple digits lol.

Drinking hot cocoa right now, and it may be cold but the sun is shining bright. It's super cozy. Wish I didn't have to work but I gotta make that money! Boats don't buy themselves! (Really I should be worried more about getting a new car, shows where my priorities are lol)

Stay warm, guys. Most the country is frozen stiff this New Years weekend.

I was out last night until 4:30am and it didn't feel THAT cold. I just stepped out to throw out the garbage, and it feels MUCH colder now.

A cold week Chicago. Though I will be in AZ

Suburban lows much colder than city.

Low 70s in Phoenix

Hang on tight Northeast, it's going to get even colder next weekend

Go sit in your car in shorts and a T-shirt. Your body will start shaking uncontrollably. It's fun

Anyways, only flurries here now but it's sticking to the solidly frozen ground. Winds shifted South and dews are rising from near 0 to teens now. Hoping for some good accumulation. I want something to shovel.

I just saw some flurries while in the car heading west of Lexington, KY on I-64. The snow was blowing on the road but there was very little accumulation.

How did my station (KFWN) rise above freezing while everywhere else is like 10-20 degrees cooler?
