It has warmed up so much since 1990 in my area and the last 7 years have been insane with the rapid warm up and freaky rain events that bring us 30" in a few weeks time back in the summer of 2015, 24" in a months time last year in the summer of 2016 and over 20" in a months time this last summer in Aug and part of Sept. Then go weeks and months with no rain and almost everyday over the last 3 years has been above normal on temps

Something is very wrong. The temps we had this week was no where near close to the super freezes we had in the 80's and or 2010. This is the first we had a string of days with highs in the 50's since 2010 and we have not been below 32 in my area since 2010.
I hear you. Most of our hottest months/years on record have occurred just in the past few years here in the PNW.

Vancouver (YVR) normally averages ~2 days per year with a sub -10C(14F) temp. They haven't observed a sub -10C temp since 2013.

I'm with you, Yankeefan! We moved from crazy Oregon in 2015, to Maine and haven't regretted it! The weather was getting hotter than I ever remember with 700 wildfires that summer...we had to drive through one to get the hell out!
Lived through the eruption of Mount Saint Helens, the Spring Break Quake, and other crazy crap in Oregon! They can have the land in the Ring of Fire!
