Not in town, we have hit 29°F only in 2007, 2011 and 2013 in the last 17 years. And high temps those days were in the mid to upper 40's F, so very little time below freezing. And that's not a freeze, a freeze is a temp below 28°F for 5 consecutive hours
Eh? A freeze is a temperature below 32F/0C for any amount of time...

I went with Nov also because rare to go past mid month without one. At least past 7yrs it is.

I always considered 0° to -2° a frost, especially if it's for short duration

A ground or grass frost would occur if the air temperature was above freezing yet the the ground temperature was below 0C, usually resulting in a visible white frost, an air frost is when the air temperature is below 0C, which is the same thing as a freeze...
I wish it would be in October, long term average is in October, but based on the weather recently I'm going with November 1.
