Which city would you prefer? Volgograd's summers are shockingly hot, but their winters are surprizlying not extremely cold. Grand Forks has the cooler summer, but their winters are quite cold. The main downside is the lack of bragging rights that comes with surviving a Grand Forks winter even though it is colder (Telling a person you survived Stalingrad in the winter will get you some cheers but say you survived Grand Forks you may get jeers."

Volgograd for having milder winters

Grand Forks is pretty good though.

Wow I am not making threads late at night anymore, heh that was something else on that paragraph. Though it is still a decent battle.

I would choose Volgograd over grand forks, mostly for the less harsh winter conditions of Volgograd, neither location is as good or as dynamic a four season climate as the Indianapolis area is though, at least in my opinion.

Volgograd.

Volgograd has too hot summers, but winters Grand Forks are too cold for me.

Volgograd. Better year round. Only problem is it's dryer.
