All the crowds have descended into Austin for ACL. Talked to a gal from WI that said she did cross country skiing during the polar vortex and thinks 80 is hot! lol that is quite funny. I said I hope you don't faint at ACL.

You can acclimate to heat but it takes a long time, you have to set your A/C at very warm temps and spend lots of time in increasing intervals to adjust. I can't fathom someone from the Upper Midwest coming down for a festival in the midday sun with temps 95F (35C) and being able to tolerate it.

Me, I can be out in 105 all day and it doesn't bother me, but some people call me a lizard. I just soak up the sun, it gives me energy. But I understand most people are not heat hardy. I think lots of people naturally cold hardy from genetics but being heat hardy is something you have to train your body for. IMHO.

Currently 63F with all windows open. I'm not trying to complain, but it's not as ... pleasant as I had hoped. Misty/drizzly with 90% humidity (DP 60F) Put the pool cover on today Just can't keep up with the leaves at this point.

I did drive through Atlanta yesterday in my truck that doesn't have AC. That was quite an experience

Looking at that forecast low of 47F on next Sunday

Oh man this is just getting started. Another snowstorm to track. Nebraska could get some and we'll see if it becomes the B word for Dakotas

First real fall morning of the year in western PA. Temperature plummeted to 36F, producing our first light frost. Areas to my north had a hard freeze. Even the city dropped to 42F. Nice!

High yesterday was 58F, today's forecasted to hit 62F

Looks like October won't be following September's temperature anomalies here. Next week looks on the mild side but very chilly air arrives by next weekend

The recent weather here (40s, 50s, 60s) is bliss after summer. That's the great thing about the onset of fall; the countdown is finally over and we can just enjoy the next seven months of decent weather.

Not many people are using heat yet. My indoor temp is 61F at the moment and it feels pretty nice.
