Luckily for them it shouldn't be snowing south of NC.

Current check of the radar... Rainy morning down south but its below freezing at 5000' over TN so the mountains should be seeing snow there right now. Snow to lower levels later on.

It's just so comical snow is missing Kentucky and Virginia TO THE SOUTH during a season when snowstorm hasn't happened. lol

A layer of clouds moved in overnight which I think kept us warmer than was forecast. It probably helps we warmed up higher yesterday than was forecast as well. Currently sitting at 23F though still forecasting a high of just 28F today. Clear skies tonight should allow us to drop well into the teens followed by a rebound back into the mid-30s tomorrow, mid-40s Saturday, and into the 50s on Sunday.

2 years ago today in 2018 we had our warmest February day ever when we hit 77F! And 3 years ago today in 2017 it was 74F, which capped off a string of 8 straight days with a high of 65F or more. That February 3 years ago ended up over 11F above normal. Interestingly just 2 years prior in 2015, that February was almost 12F below normal. This year, so far, has been no where near those kind of anomalies.

Not sure but I really havent seen that freezing line at 5k dip that much south this winter. It may have in December? Might be one of the coldest for Carolinas
