No, pole shift has nothing to do with it, we are still warming even in a very weak solar output cycle. The faster we reduce point carbon and methane sources the better.

Well if that is the case the damage has been done. Nothing can stop what is to come. Even if i beamed every person and car off the planet it is gonna be run away heating for over a 1000 years. The planet will burn away over time as seen in some places like the land down under and it will just get worse as more places see the worst fires and heat temps ever. In around 4.23 billion years no one will have to worry once the sun grows closer to our orbit and does the planet in for good.

Millions of planets that can support life are waiting but no way to lick the time and speed thing to reach them.

What chu sayin Willis? I thought you didn’t believe in AGW, also now that I think about it, I’ve just realized that there were indeed periods of high global co2 levels and yet widespread glaciation at the same time in the distant past. Examples of such are the Carboniferous period ice age when Global Carbon dioxide levels were higher than today yet the earth was in an ice age...... so something is causing the temperature change besides carbon emissions. Perhaps increasing urbanization?who knows

I don't. Just a normal 1500 year warming cycle. Plus our orbit changes over millions of years. Line of rain 80 miles offshore from me so hope it holds together and i get at least a 1". I gotta go food shopping now before i get my Corvette dirty.

.60" of rain and a dead battery in the Vette. Big hump up in temps after next week. Maybe blazing mid to upper 80's.

In flight back to Chicago now. Should land in a couple of hours. Indio CA was lovely. We stayed in a beautiful house with a heated pool. Temps were in the upper 60s?and low 70s all week with mostly sunny skies.

Maybe a chance of winter to return by the 3rd or 4th week of January. MAYBE. First 3 days of January.... +12.7F above normal lol
