The last week of the winter month of August in Northern Australia
Record breaking August heat in vast areas of the Kimberleys, Pilbara and the North Western Northern Territory of Australia, the previous national record of 40c ( 104f ) set way back in 1970 has been exceeded multiple times across the north west in 2020. Now stands at 41.2c ( 106.2f )at West Roebuck, Western Australia.
My home town of Darwin has not broken max temp records, although the last 5 days have been exceptionally hot, dry and windy, with extreme fire danger conditions
