We're still waiting for Spring in coastal Alaska. Looks to be coming later this week with temps warming up enough to put an end to all the snow recently. Valdez still has 63" of snow depth. https://www.weather.gov/aprfc/Snow_Depth

Recurving typhoon? Let's keep checking this. I heard this means the jet stream dips in the U.S like 15-20 days after. Something like that. I forget. Cool pattern staying? It's already cool here. 50s

First 90s for fresno will be arriving next week.
Disappointed, but not surprised.
Hopefully, May doesn't get too hot for us.

Edit: oh....

This afternoon's high at Sky Harbor is 92°. Now 12/12 in April for 90°+ days.

Yes that's what I think will happen. We will probably see cool temps for at least the next 3 weeks here in the Midwest. Don't know about the Northeast but it's likely as snow is showing up on the ECMWF

The upcoming cool shot has nothing to do with the typhoon recurve btw...

Yeah, should be 2+ weeks from now. Past couple days an Upper Low has been over our region's keeping us cool and wet. 0.70" here past 36hrs.

I was near the ocean today and wow. It was chilly. Windy too

It would be fantastic if there were no high temperatures above 80F until June, keep the eastern trough around with lows in the 30's and 40's.

Rain south of the city this morning. We could definitely stand a break. Parts of my lawn the ground was still very soft after we got well over an inch of rain over the weekend. Next chance of rain isn't until this weekend now and temps stay cool, even slightly below normal near 60F all week. Honestly this sounds like the perfect spring week here.
