Bump. This arctic outbreak is on repeat this year as mentioned in the winter threads, Vancouver and Victoria have 'arctic outflow' warnings.
How bad can it get?
Will be interesting to see where the records fall...
Mean annual low & all time record lows
...
Great list, thanks for all the work.
Anywhere east of the Great Divide is safe from all-time records IMO.
As usual folks in the Intermountain West and especially the PNW do all the heavy lifting while people down east in their coats and their ties are free to drink martinis and watch the sun rise

To watch a sunrise demands an arctic high. Gloom rules the skies where mild airs lie.
We got some nice sunrise yesterday morning but the clouds rolled in around noon and now it's once again overcast for the foreseeable future.

Not my fault you guys rely on the ocean too much to compensate for you higher latitude relative to the east coast. Hell some parts of Baja California (including Tijuana and Mexicali) are more north than I am, lol. I'm still amazed how Portland Oregon is farther north than Portland Maine with that climate.

Portland Oregon is 60 miles inland from the ocean. I'm sure that makes all the difference.
