So sitting in a parked car on a 98 F day in the sun isn't heat?
96 F with 66% humidity and overcast isn't heat?
103 F with 35% humidity and bright sun in NC isn't heat?
98 F and clear sky in a semi-arid sandy/rocky park, where the dry soft sand scorches any skin that it touches? (tops of feet, ankles etc.)

If you are talking hotter heat than that
well I can't help that that kind of heat has never existed in my lifetime.

I'll go on loving the kind of heat that exists in my part of the world.

I don't mind that I might have never seen a true heat index of 125+ F outdoors in the shade,
but I have seen plenty of heat indices of 110 F and a few 115's F. Liked them.

I'm working on a new, improved "dream climate", which probably sums up my personality better than the last ones I've mentioned.

This one has even more sunshine as my previous FLA City only had a mouldy 2500hrs a year and Coltingbury's 3000 a year is a little on the dull side for my liking. Coltingbury also had too cold winters (4-14°C or so) with too much cloud, and FLA City had far too much cloud and rain in winter, which I wouldn't enjoy. So the new climate, called "Capitoll City", shall have sunny and dry winters with mild daytime temps but coolish nights. Temps reaching 17°C on average in the day. Summers will remain hot but slightly less humid. Spring months will also be made a bit warmer. Thunderstorms will still remain a regular feature.

When I've completed the 30 years weather data for it in Excel I will post the averages.

The best way I could describe my ideal climate would be winters like San Francisco's early autumn; generally sunny with interesting foggy episodes occasionally, with monsoonal Indian summers akin to cities like Mangalore. Cool-season dry with torrential hot-season wet, almost all of the rain in summer and most of the sun in the winter.

All averages fictional and approximate.

MONTH: TEMPERATURE / RAINY DAYS / SUNSHINE%

JAN: 12/20C * 0 * 80%
FEB: 14/22C * 4 * 75%
MAR: 16/23C * 6 * 70%
APR: 18/25C * 8 * 60%
MAY: 20/27C * 12 * 50%
JUN: 22/29C * 16 * 40%
JUL: 23/30C * 25 * 40%
AUG: 24/30C * 30 * 35%
SEP: 20/29C * 6 * 60%
OCT: 16/26C * 2 * 70%
NOV: 14/24C * 0 * 90%
DEC: 12/22C * 0 * 80%

SPRINGS: Warm, some rain to produce new growth and make things lush, much of it coming in short, sharp bursts.

SUMMERS: Warm to hot, lots of heavy, monsoonal rain, warm nights, lots of swimming.

FALL: Warm to hot, cooler evenings, sudden dry season, driest and sunniest towards the beginning of December.

WINTERS: Cool to warm, generally sunny, no rain, mysterious foggy spells.

In case you're wondering, there is no snow - ever. It was banned by city ordinance eighty years ago.

The sun will be on vacation again this week. Drizzle and light rain shouldn't be more than a nuisance at the beginning of the week, but a more potent storm is expected to bring heavy rain and gusty winds next weekend.

Sunday, 10/16: Windy with light rain.
High 51. Low 38.

Monday, 10/17: Windy with drizzle and scattered showers.
High 55. Low 47.

Tuesday, 10/18: Overcast with drizzle.
High 60. Low 48.

Wednesday, 10/19: Cloudy.
High 54. Low 44.

Thursday, 10/20: Cloudy.
High 51. Low 39.

Friday, 10/21: Cloudy and windy with drizzle late afternoon becoming a steady rain during the evening. Rainfall around a quarter inch.
High 57. Low 44.

Saturday, 10/22: Windy with rain, heavy at times. Rainfall accumulations 1-2 inches with locally heavier amounts possible.
High 59. Low 48.
