Wooooops. I guess that's why I should read the thread title better.

So if it's the thread is about the lowest high temperature than we rarely get a high temperature below freezing, ever. About -1C is the lowest high I've ever experienced in England then.

That makes more sense from my short experiences with British winters. The lowest temperature at night you ever noticed (-10°C /14°F) is about the average winter temperature where I live (Western Massachusetts). I was amused to read the average night temperatures of Moscow is about the same. The daytime highs, of course, are much colder in Moscow (1°C here vs -5°C in Moscow) and the record low is much colder in Moscow as well.

Here in Vancouver, I'm not entirely sure.... I've seen daytime highs as low as 25F here.. but I suspect the all time record low daytime high here is probably in the 15-20F range. Our record low of all time is 0F back in January 1950.

The absolute lowest maximum temp ever recorded in over 120 years of record keeping in Corpus Christi, TX. (about 7 miles from where I live), was 26 °F. The coldest I have actually experienced since being here has been about 40 °F.

However, I am originally from Montana. The coldest max temp I have ever experienced there (Helena, MT), was -23 °F.

Yes, I'm going off memory.

I know there's probably some weird Ice Age that I wasn't around to see.
