I'm going to tour the asylum in Weston this weekend and wonder what else there is to do up there? We plan on staying a couple of days.

Thanks!

French Creek Wildlife Center or whatever they call it today. I know it as the "Game Farm". I always enjoyed seeing the animals.

Stonewall Resort -- you can rent a boat and they even have houseboats for overnights.

There is a man named Hinkle that does glass-making in the area.

Drive over to Elkins and take in the American Music Theatre (not positive if this is the correct name). The show is $25 for two hours of great music and entertainment. You can also take a train ride up into the mountains.

Close, bbj. It's American Mountain Theater, and I agree, it's a great show. The theater is right next to the train depot, which offers various trips, mostly on weekends. And right between the two is the Railyard Restaurant.

Phillipi is the location of the first land battle of the Civil War, and a covered bridge from that era still stands at the intersection of routes 250 and 119.

A dinner theater is also being built off of Beverly Pike, that should add should variety for people looking to get into something in the area. Don't forget the Forest Festival is coming up as well.

Don't forget about Jubilee in the Weston area

it's a large culture festival held at Jackson's Mill. The normaly start around the beginning of September. It is alot of fun if you like great country food, and country art.

I'd recommend C.J. Maggies in Buckhannon for a tasty meal.
