Incorrect, you did, when you posted:
LOL here's the author of your earth shaking article. She's a former RW "death panel" proponent who shouldn't have been stupid enough to appear on the Daily Show.

When a business is run for profit, the need for 'cash flow speeds up the process, gives is some stability and produces an end result.

Government workers are not the same as those found in the private sector. They are very slow in everything they do. And they are fickle.

I signed up for Social Security last November, hoping to get a check in January. I signed up on-line and at the office too. In March, when I did not recieve a check that I did not exist. In April I got my first check without any backpay for money lost. direct deposit.

Four months ago, I asked them to mail me the check, as we would be traveling a lot this fall and I wanted the cash option of using it instead of writing checks.
I filled out the change form and the lady said...'You won't get this done...the government wants it on direct deposit."

I said, "This is my money here...mine and the employer who matched it..."
She said, "Makes no difference."

Letting the government ration health care will be a mistake...wait and see. Pie in the sky!

Thank you GHO...you will be getting the bill for this Obama-Care.
Yes I will DK along with 300 million other Americans. How about this, everyone can just keep their money.. money... money.. money. We'll do away with schools, hospitals, fire and police depts. and we'll all go back to living in huts. Why contribute to someone else having healthcare? All for one and one for all! ha ha ha

You never do provide facts, just insults or try to change the subject.

It's hard to push past all the hype, but let's try this. The term "socialism" does not automatically imply health care for illegal aliens. How many functioning socialist countries would let you or me come there and get free health care, not to mention job training, welfare checks and low cost loans to buy a home and start a business? Why do we have to do everything ass-backwards and reward the lazy and the illegal before those who deserve it?
I know a veteran who could not use his medicare to pay for a VA hospital visit, because they said it would be like the government paying the government. Then they proceeded to attatch his social security check to cover the bill. Ass-backwards, I tell you.
A lot of people are listening to too much talk radio and getting fanned into a frenzy. Calm down, people. It's good to be skeptical of government run programs and workers, but don't forget that private enterprise can cause a lot of cutting corners, and rushed, shoddy work, and the competitve crush of job cuts and outsourcing has been a very painful experience for a lot of people.
A little socialism does not scare me. It's the stupidity that scares me.

Word to the Wise:

At 2:06 pm today the House of Representatives voted overwhelmingly to de-fund Acorn.

There were 76 NO votes (to keep them funded)...Nick Joe Rahall and Alan Molohan were in the group wanting to fund Acorn...

How do they explain this? Don't see the news? Don't know what's going on....

I have a few thoughts about this. I think it was an unwise move. We've seen videos made by a private company, probably funded by political organizations, that show ACORN is a very bad light.....

BUT we haven't seen any of the video they chose not to run. If they tried this sting on 500 ACORN operations and caught one or two, maybe not a condemnation of ACORN overall but an example of poor controls.

The other issue is whether Congress itself should be doing this or should these be administrative actions by the agencies. Census has taken action and I think HUD has too. There are rules for suspending contractors and they need to be carefully followed or the government may end up owing ACORN for breaching legal contracts.

I suspect we have all the laws we need. I'd like to see a full and vigorous investigation by the DOJ. If ACORN is found guilty people should go to jail. In the interim, if allowed by contract they should probably be suspended.

The people who made the video should turn over everything to the DOJ so we have all the story.

There you go again with the reason and logic thing.

Since a lot of Acorn workers are African American people think Obama invented Acorn. George W Bush funded Acorn to the tune of $13 million.

Silly me. Thinking we should be a country of laws, where people and organization need a fair trial before execution.
