We are searching for homes and are pretty high on Pleasantville and Chappaqua right now. We are still unsure however how we can get a feel for the community besides walking around. I've read up on Pleasantville and it seems like an easy place to meet other people. Can the same be said about Chappaqua? We don't have kids yet? Are there any Welcome Clubs or easy ways to meet other people?
Do you practice any religion? you can attend area churches and that's how we met some people when we moved in the area 15 years ago. We don't have kids and it was difficult for us to meet people.
Pleasantville has a huge Catholic population.
Both towns have very active rec centers.
Chappaqua is more spread out, Pleasantville is tiny in comparison.
Try going to Facebook and ask to join the Chappaqua Moms page (it's a closed group but if you explain your interest, you should get approved). You can ask your questions to a group of active people in the town. Good luck!
