Hi everyone, I just found this forum and I hope perhaps the community can clarify something I have been unable to figure out. I found an apartment in Pelham Manor, near the CVS on Boston Post Road, which my girlfriend and I really love. The problem is that it comes with one parking spot, and we were told the waitlist for a second spot is essentially hopeless. We have two cars, and we need both (she works upstate, I work in Long Island), so we cannot simply get rid of one.
I was told that Pelham Manor prohibits residents from parking on the street between 2am and 6pm, essentially preventing overnight parking. Does anyone know what other options exist for residents in the area? I know that Pelham and Pelham Manor have municipal parking lots, but those are at least 25 minutes away on foot, so they would not be a good possibility, especially in the winter. There are several shops in the area, but I suspect that parking overnight in their lots may lead to towing. Does anyone have any insight? I'd be grateful if you could help.
