We are thinking of moving out of the city and need more nuanced information about Eastern Middle School in Greenwich and Rye Middle School to make a choice. I understand Eastern Middle already has tracks and an Advanced Learning Program, which Rye does not offer in middle school. Not sure if this means advanced students are truly more challenged in Greenwich vs. Rye or if it just creates unnecessary competition. Can anyone offer information on how challenging Rye's curriculum is? I'd appreciate any other relevant information about the schools. Thank you!
I would suggest checking out Darien's Middlesex Middle School, which would be a much more comparable district to Rye. At the high school level especially, Rye & Greenwich differ quite a bit.
Thank you. We are not interested in Darien though. Are you able to provide some specifics on how Greenwich and Rye differ in HS?
