I had friends visiting this weekend who have T-mobile, and they could not get reception in my house. My father has AT&T and it's spotty here. (East Asheville) Never had a problem with Verizon.

realize it's too late for the op, but for someone else reading this thread one of these days:

hubby and i both have at&t, and have relatively few problems. we live in town, though, so that could be part of it. cell service does drop out over the mountain while driving to greenville, (but i assume that's everyone...is it?) and there's a curve on 240 near chunn's cove that often drops my calls, but otherwise it's all good.

I had verizon and it has changed over the years and is spotty so I quit and now I have ATT and that works in the Reynolds district but not in east Asheville under the parkway,I also have Tmobile and that work most places and has great prices.
