Hi all,
We have arrived at our new location in Haw creek. Though our bodies are aching from the move and unpacking, we still have a ways to go, we are loving our new neighborhood and very friendly neighbors. We did go with Charter bundled service. We received excellent hi def tv, nice high speed internet and inexpensive land line service. They were installed with a 48 hour wait and by a really nice young man who spent a lot of time and energy to make sure we were satisfied. So far it has exceeded our expectations. Thanks to all who posted. We are tickled pink to be living here , loving being out of the melting snow of Vt and and so enjoying the ongoing show of all the incredible flowering trees and bushes! Next up for us is checking out the fair for CSA's this weekend! Life is good!!!!!!!
LindaVt now NC.
thanks for the update ! sometimes you have to expect the worst, I guess
It's good to hear something positive about charter. usually people make the effort to complain about things a lot and it seems quite rare for many to take the time mentioning the positive sides, too !
You sound so happy and released, I wish you a wonderful start !
Welcome! We live in Haw Creek too, and LOVE it. We also had a very good experience with Charter after hearing very bad things - they installed everything quickly and inexpensively, didn't leave until they were sure we knew how to work it all, and came back the next day because they had noticed something funky with the wires outside and decided to fix it before anyone asked them to. We had a couple outages at first and got worried, but their response was good and nothing has gone wrong in many months. I hope all continues to go well for you!
Well my Internet is going crazy again.... a lot packet loss and modem cannot still online, which makes it impossible for online gaming and voice/video chat......
I contacted Charter and Charter tech always let me reset the modem and claiming my router is causing the problem... Never send a team to check the main line...... The last time I talked with a Charter employee he told me someone is supposed to service the line, but nobody has come for almost a year....... GO TO HELL CHARTER!!!

Go with Bell South DSL...a little slower but very stable. In the 10 years I had them only had small handfull of problems. had Direct TV (HD)and never had signal loss. Dump the Charter

We were having that problem last year and it turned out to be the old cable line from the street to the house. Squirrels had chewed through the vinyl insulation down to the copper conductor. They replaced the line and we've had excellent connection and speed ever since. So get Charter to check your line and then get a BB gun and start zapping those pesky rodents, they amke a good stew as well
