So many believe the "news" whether from Falsebook, CNN, MSNBC, etc. This news is slanted left and rarely presents the true picture. Their mission is not to report news objectively but to paint the most desperate picture possible.

Facebook isn't a news agency. Anyone can post anything on it. It's kind of like Wikipedia, but at least we don't believe everything on Facebook.

I know that but many of the sheep that are glued to FB 24/7 and are usually under 40 believe all of it as if it was the Gospel. My ex girlfriend several times brought up a news flash she just got off her FB feed that was bad misinformation and that of which I had to correct her on. The MSM via FB and Twitter are horrible when it comes to policing what is reported via their mediums. Unfortunately so many people believe it just because it's on their social media feeds.

I watch FOX, CNN, MSNBC, etc.. The reality is that all the news channels are slanted/biased one way or the other.

It's one thing to be slanted or lean one way or the other. But when flat out lies are reported as truths is where misinformation is given and less informed minds start believing it. CNN is the best at this and they are continuously being called out for it.

We avoid ALL news and social media outlets for anything other than ... well, nothing. News organizations these days are worthless, and social media sites are the armpit of society IMO. Just a bunch of opinionated and antagonistic people looking for likes from other like minded ignorant people, and the resulting mega-companies now cashing in on the dumbing down of our society. Never have needed any of them to live a functional life, and never will.

Don’t agree? Then look at how many times you’ve checked your social media feeds today vs. how many actual “friends“ you’ve hung out with lately.

Easily get more out of hiking a single 5 mile trail than posting 10,000 times on social media, having 10,000 fake friends on it or tuning into the news. Much happier and functional these days being less “connected”.

It’s why I don’t take any of these protests seriously. Large mobs of angry and opinionated people who protest for the rights of X Y and Z ... but then go home to houses filled with Alexa and Siri devices that listen to their every conversation and chip away at any rights that they / we do have left.

AND THEY PAY THE RICHEST MEN IN THE WORLD AND THEIR MEGA-CORPORATIONS large chunks of their HH incomes for the privilege to do so and don’t say a word. Hypocrisy at its finest from a so called “woke” society ...

Like I said, the best way to be an advocate of the rights of others is to acknowledge our differences and be a good person in your everyday life, not in a “feel good then forget” protest every few years.
