Sure, as long as you're a liberal, leftist socialist who believes that looting, arson, rioting, and blocking traffic is all a part of the 1st Amendment. Sorry Comrades; it's not.
I'm willing to bet Lizap, beckycat, and a few other frequent posters on this forum are open participants in these riots. May they all be arrested and prosecuted soon......... Sorry; not sorry.
Nope. Not that's it's any of your business nor relevant to this forum, but I'm a registered Independent that has voted Republican about 95% of the time. The difference is that I appreciate all the wonderful things that a city like Asheville has to offer, and am not going to allow all the other stuff you often cite to impact my view of this great city.

Then start doing more to recognize it's lopsided failings and stop defending the Orwellian nonsense that has become the norm in that city. Covering/Removing monuments? (AKA Altering HISTORY itself?) Rioters blocking off I-240? Stockpiled stacks of bricks just prior to "protest" events? "Reparations" to one particular ethnic descent who was NEVER victimized by slavery because it happened HUNDREDS of years ago?
When "independents" like you claim only to see beauty; where rot and stench has set in.........you're merely wearing blinders and are part of the problem. Don't pretend or act otherwise, please.

I'm so glad I don't see things 'through your eyes'. I repeat - If you don't like Asheville, then move, if you can; it's that simple. It's not your 'cup pf tea' - I get it. BUT it's a treasure to many people. You will likely have multiple offers on your house, as the Asheville real estate market is red hot right now - many people consider Asheville a highly desirable place to live.

I believe there’s a post on here recently from a certain someone complaining that the Highlands / Cashiers area is now overcrowded and “not what it used to be”. Funny how that works - promote an area as having “upscale amenities and residents“ as a utopia to now saying it’s getting ran into the ground.
Sounds eerily familiar. Imagine how the full time residents feel who deal with it everyday, or the 4th gen locals getting pushed out of their homes feel about the traffic jams full of Beemers and Escalades with OOS tags there now.
Having blinders on is exactly right, as is the stench and rot that the area has taken to. Once an issue affects the individual ONLY THEN does it become a problem, hence my passion for certain things here while others turn a cheek to it because they’re wanting to win a popularity contest of some sort.
But hey, at least to them homes in AVL are selling like hotcakes at the moment. No need to remove the blinders just yet!

+1
And be made an example out of like the two women who made claims on social media against Cootie Browns in Johnson City in regards to spreading Covid-19. Both are now being sued by CB to the tune of $750,000 I believe. Hoping CB wins their case.

Here you go again.. Your're trying to compare what I said about Highlands/Cashiers to what you continue to say about Asheville. Not the same thing, and you know it. You HATE Asheville. You're obsessed with continuously denigrating Asheville. We still like Highlands and Cashiers, and plan to visit periodically. It's just more crowded than it used to be and has more development, but it's still a beautiful area..

Nope. LOVE Asheville. HATE what it’s becoming.
Dancing around what you put out there (in YOUR own words from YOUR own posts) is entirely on you and not on me. Good try though.
To many, many people, Asheville is a treasure with much to offer. I do hope your judgmentalism is not reflective of eastern TN.
Nope. Strike two. We’re actually a level headed bunch here that loves and cherishes our community, our neighbors and each other, Asheville area included.
Oh, that’s right. Forgot you’re not even a resident of the area. Guess you share the same destructive viewpoints and habits of all the other like minded seasonal residents coming to the area.
You know, like all the folks you complained about currently piling into Cashiers and Highlands (in your own post of course).
