Expand your horizons. Check out the concept of Gross National Happiness vs GNP. https://ophi.org.uk/policy/gross-nat...ppiness-index/

The Libs in Madison & Milwaukee are basically unhappy people....That's why Libs want cars to have cataalytic converters to eliminate NOx-- If too many people were made happy breathing all that extra laughing gas, the Libs would get fewer votes.

Those of us rubes who don't live in those two wealthy counties don't need your contributions. We don't want those govt Bread & Circus Programs meant only to buy votes with taxpayer money.

Nah - Public school and public university "wokeism and progressive propaganda" is what is dumbing down Country. Geez- Trump was around for a lousy 4 yrs and you guys with TDS still think he single handedly "ruined country.

Progressive ideologies have been around much longer than that guy.

OTOH - Looking at it from a different perspective, there has never been a better time to be alive. Life for all is relatively easy. We can get worked up about stupid **** and use this technology to pretend we are making a difference. It's all good!!

And yet, like most red states, who are dependent on blue states for their economic health, more rural counties are dependent on urban ones for theirs.

For those who "do not want", they and their politicians sure love to take.

ergo-- CA has 3.5x more uneducated people than WI....QED. ...and we'll politerly not get into the difference between "educated" vs "indoctrinated."
I won't supply a link because here because you could very well says it's "fake news" so I'll suggest that you go check with the census bureau web site on your own where it is shown that California has over 39.5 million residents, not the 23.5 million that you credited them with.
And Wisconsin as you wrote has a population of nearly 5.9 million.

You're right!..I transcribed my ciphering incorrectly. 59.5% of 39.5M is the 23M I listed...so...CA has 7x more uneducated than WI.

Federal taxes returned to each state doesn't seem to depend too much on political orientation according to this site https://taxfoundation.org/state-fede...reliance-2020/ BUT- it's based on percentage of fed tax vs local taxes. Blue states tend to have larger state taxes, so the Fed proportion is lower while total money is higher....either way, our WI is #45 on the list....We don't need no stinkin'; Fed tax money.

This site lists total fed money returned to states and the per capita rate. Eleven have negative return. Only 3 of them are red states. The blue states with negative return of fed taxes are the ones with the most millionaires and corporate hdqtrs-- They pay an inordinate amount of taxes...Remember-- 50% of Americans pay zero fed tax.

Those figures were known at the time that Johnson held his Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee hearing. So, too, were the results of the December 14 Electoral College vote, which confirmed Biden’s defeat of Trump by a 306-232 margin.

Yet Johnson continued to peddle Trump’s Big Lie—even going so far as to support a bogus audit of the election results that has been promoted in recent weeks by Trump-aligned Wisconsin legislators.

The Undercurrent, has distributed a tape of the conversation on social media. Johnson said during what he apparently thought was a private conversation, “There’s nothing obviously skewed about the results.” He even told Windsor that Trump lost because he had underperformed as compared to other Republicans. “If all the Republicans voted for Trump the way they voted for the Assembly candidates, he would have won,” said the senator. “He didn’t get 51,000 votes that other Republicans got, and that’s why he lost.”
Really interesting comparison about FDR and Hoover.

So blue states are more self reliant. Not shocking.

And Wisconsin outside of Madison and Milwaukee is suffering. No job growth.

That 50% includes children and retirees. Negative return, as you call if, means they are subsidizing red states. In other words, you agree, blue states subsidize red states.

Thank you for being honest for once.

Why does anyone put faith in media sources that have been proven liars again and again.

Tell ya what-- let the blue states cut the red ones off from the goods they manufacture, and the reds can cut off the blues from food produced....Who will prove the more dependent on the other?

BTW- job growth? We can't get enough workers as it is now. Why would providing even more job vacancies help?
